Venezia Falls in First Game of Best-of-Five Series
Marco Belinelli's 26 points and 77 percent shooting from three-point range led Virtus Bologna to a 103-89 victory over Umana Reyer Venezia in Game 1 of the 2024 Serie A playoff semifinals.
After a close first half, Virtus took control of the game in the third quarter, outscoring Venezia 30-19. Belinelli was unstoppable, hitting all five of his three-point attempts in the period.
Venezia fought back in the fourth quarter, but Virtus held on for the win. The victory gives Virtus a 1-0 lead in the best-of-five series.
